2nd Grade

Maddie woke up before 6 am soooo ready to start second grade.  She walked into her class a smile on her face, excited to see old friends and meet the 2 new girls in her grade!  She even helped Lindsey put on her uniform before school.

She's in love with school--lets just hope it lasts all year!

Miss Tilly's Ballet Performance
Maddie has graduated to the big girl league at Ballet.  She has Miss Wendy as her teacher, and got to wear "costumes" for the performance.  Maddie Berry toughed it out to watch the whole LONG show, and what joy on Maddie's face when she saw her dear friend with a rose for her!

What a difference Two Thousand five hundred fifty six days makes...


Seven years old--to continue the tradition I had after each of her baby check ups--Maddie weighs 63 lbs, is 4 feet 4 inches tall, can read independently, and loves school and most especially her baby sister Lindsey. Happy Birthday Maddie!

And Maddie Bailey had to have her first high heels. Thanks Lynne for the perfect dress to go with the shoes. Too grown up!!

12 feet of snow at Kirkwood

The girls had fun playing in the snow as they waited for our friends the Alts to arrive last weekend. Maddie is now a Storm Rider at ski school, which means she skis all blue runs (intermediate) and some black (advanced runs!) All winter she has wanted to ski chair 5 Solitude, outside our condo, and now she can with ease!

Here are both girls ready for school. Maddie is in her Burke's uniform and Lindsey in her 80's inspired outfit she selected on her own. I have to give her credit for the double belt selection--you can't really tell but her socks are holiday green with sparkly snowmen on the side and her shoes are white ballet flats bejeweled. Most of the day her headband was also on her forehead a la flashdance. I love that girl...
