Weekend in Napa
Maddie and Mom headed up to Calistoga early on Friday and met up with Claire, Eric and Wyatt at a favorite kiddie food mecca Taylor's Refresher...nothing bettter than french fries, a burger and happy kids who can run around after they eat their lunches.

Wyatt and Maddie both did pretty well on the grilled cheese, mini corn dogs and french fries--although Maddie kept stealing Wyatt's food...I wonder who she get's that from?

The kids had a blast all weekend long, and Maddie is still exhausted from so much playing with friends.

As we drove home this morning the hotair balloons were taking off from Yountville over the valley and she loved see all of the colorful balloons so high in the air. The whole way down the valley she kept pointing and laughing and saying "balooooo"

Maddie and the Dentist

We tried out dentist number 2 today, and she was very sweet, but confirmed that Bluberries and Mr. Bear cannot explain why Maddie's teeth are stained at the gum line. She finally told me that Maddie has an enzyme in her saliva that causes the staining and it will probably be that way until she is 3 or 4 years old! Black baby teeth are so not attractive, so we will be brushing constantly, and getting her a baby sonic care for the best scrubbing we can manage.

After all that torture at the Dr. Office, decided Maddie deserved a croque monsieur from Rigolo...she loved it!

I'm back from my illness. Feeling much better thanks to baby benadryl and cortisone cream, but this rash sucks! Today's theme is fun with food--I finally am getting my appetite back so I decided that I would play with everything mom and dad gave me today. Why eat when you can have so much fun with a cantaloupe and yogurt. Who knew? I think I am going to ask mom if I can play with all my food from now on. I know she'll love it.

Madeline has Roseola, a normal childhood disease that usually strikes kids between 6 months and 2 years. It starts with a 3 day fever of 100-103 and then is followed by a rash over your face neck and torso...Maddie is done with the fever and now just has to suffer thru the rash part. Try reasoning with a 16 month old on how to not scratch your face! I feel so bad for her, but will probably put mittens on her when she goes to be tonight. You can scroll down to see her rash, but really that is her only complaint. She is happy and playing, and really you wouldn't know she was sick without the rash!

Maddie here--I had to take this over, mom was boring so now its all me all the time. i am still sick, had a 101.5 fever this afternoon, so mom had to go get mea play kitchen this afternoon--Tia convinced Mommy that she needed the top of the line, and the owner of Talbots Toy Town in San Mateo gave my mom a deal on a put together kitchen that has pots and pans and lots of food, and really cool stainless steel appliances. My stove even sizzles when I cook the play steak! I love it and will have many yummy meals at My new cafe--Maddie's Place! Hopefully Micheal Bauer will come review me soon.

Playgroup at St. Francis Woods playground. I took Maddie Berry with us so that she could join her friends...There are photos coming of all the munchkins singing wheels on the bus on the play bus in the park....cold, foggy, dirty, and sandy, but Maddie loved the slide, and even tried the swirly slide that she is usually afraid of.

Todays new word: Zoo

Maddie, Maddie Berry, Wyatt, Violetta, Stephanie and Vanessa all went to the San Francisco Zoo todaa--and loved it. Violeta should be sainted for volunteering to take 3 kids to the zoo, but they had a blast from the train to the petting zoo to the tunnel...
